The Peony Studies: an origin story

In 2023, a jar of peonies in bud became the starting point for a six-month journey the artist did not foresee. Made over four months of return visits to the motif, three archival pigment prints are a meditation on our responses to grief. They became Catrin O'Hara's contribution to The Code of the Subtle — the inaugural exhibition of The Spiritual in Art Collective, curated by Nellimya Arthouse, Switzerland.

The three works are showing at Fox Yard Studio, Stowmarket, Suffolk, 13–15 September, and continue to be part of the Code of the Subtle catalogue until the finissage on 30 October.
